E-Statement

E-Advice

e-Advices are a new, convenient and paper-free way of managing  customers finances. Key documents like change of address information, insurance related documents and investment portfolio documents such as Unit Trust redemption advice are accessible through Citibank Online or can be sent as an email attachment.  

  • When an eAdvice is available, you are going to receive an e-mail notification.
  • You can view e-Advices at any time on Citibank Online in the “Service Center” under “View e-Advice” menu option.
  • You can modify the e-Advice setup details any time on Citibank Online, under “My Profile” menu option after entering OTP (One Time Password).
    • You can change the e-mail address you prefer to receive the notifications on
    • Change the format of your delivered e-Advice into PDF or link to online e-Advice. In both cases you are not going to receive paper Advices any more.
    • You can enroll for paper advice to be sent by post instead, if you click on “Cancel Enrollment” on the E-Statement/E-Advices Enrollment page.

Register for E-Statements by signing on to Citibank Online (Go to My Profile – E-Statement Enrollment).

Sign on to Citibank Online, go to 'Account Information' tab, select 'E-statement' and click on 'Register for E-statement' - Call our 24-hour CitiPhone Banking Service on +9714 311 4000 to register for this service.

You can select from two options:

E-Statement Reminder Service (Default) – By selecting this option, you will receive an email notification on your preferred email address when your e-statement is available on Citibank Online.

E-Statement Delivery Service (Optional) – By selecting this option, you will receive your e-statement on your preferred email address as a PDF attachment. This email will also notify you that your e-statement is available for viewing on Citibank Online.

  • E-statements are accessible at any time and from anywhere through Citibank Online or by e-mail.
  • They cannot fall into the hands of anyone else, which is a possibility with a paper statement.
  • The structure of the E-statement is the same as that of a paper statement.
  • Past bank account statements are kept online for a full year, beginning from the time you have registered for the service.
  • Your E-statements are viewed through Citibank Online secure site and are backed by a secondary level of security using 128-bit encryption, the highest level of encryption commercially available. Moreover, this service keeps your financial information out of your mailbox and trash and away from identity thieves.
  • You will receive your E-statements faster than through regular mail and they will be available on Citibank Online the same day your statement is generated. It also reduces paper clutter by providing access to your banking statements electronically.
  • E-statements are environmentally friendly. Help reduce your paper clutter, increase your banking security and save some trees at the same time.
  • You can always return to having your paper statement mailed to you if needed. It is simple to go back to paper statements should you change your mind, so you have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

If you register for E-Statements on Citibank Online and select the "E-Statement Delivery Service", you will be asked to enter E-statement password of your choice. This password has to be:

  • Minimum 8 and maximum 13 characters long
  • Have at least one alphabet as capital
  • Password has to be alpha numeric

Password has to be alpha numeric In case you are registered for E-Statements by Citibank, a random E-Statement password will be generated for you which will be a combination of your mobile number and date of birth available in our records. For example, if your mobile number is 050-1234567 and date of birth is December 17th, your random E-Statement password will be 5012345671712.

To change your E-Statement password, please sign on to Citibank Online, click on 'Account Information' - 'E-statement' - 'See and Change Registration'.

The frequency for e-statements will be the same as it is for paper statements.

You will receive an email on your preferred email address to inform you that your e-statement is available for viewing on Citibank Online.

It takes one statement cycle to begin receiving your E-statements. The frequency for receiving your E-statements will be the same as it is for paper statements.

Yes, you will receive account details for all your bank accounts and your E-Statement will be identical to your paper statement.

If any of the joint account holder registers for E-statements through Citibank Online, all paper statements will be discontinued and E-statement notification emails will be sent to the preferred email address provided during registration.

No. Only the primary account holder or basic Credit Cardmember can register for this service.

The process of updating your latest contact information will remain the same. Simply sign on to Citibank Online, click on "My Profile" and "Update Contact Details". You can also call our 24-hour CitiPhone Banking service on +9714 311 4000 to update your email address.

Yes, to change your registration from E-statement Reminder Service to E-statement Delivery Service, go to 'Account Information' tab, select 'E-statement' and click on 'View / Change EnrollmentRegistration'

From the time you register for this service, a record of 36 months statements can be accessed on Citibank Online.

E-statement will be sent to your preferred email address provided during registration. If your E-statement returns undelivered after multiple attempts, your E-statement will then be sent to the secondary email address.

Yes, you can. When you register for the E-Statement Delivery Service, you will receive an email on your preferred email address with your e-statement attached and this email will also notify you that your e-statement is available for viewing on Citibank Online.

Once you register for E-Statements your paper statements will be stopped from the next statement cycle and you will start receiving your e-mail statement notifications.

    E-Statements are sent within 2 working days time after your statement date which means E-Statements get to you much before paper statements.
  2. Ease :
    It's hassle-free with no more lost or misplaced statements. View your statement details online with just a few clicks. You will review your statement in an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, which is easy to open on any computer. If you do not have Acrobat Reader (version 6.0 or above) on your computer, please download the free software from the Adobe website (www.adobe.com).
  3. Convenience :
    You can download, save, print and access E-Statements at anytime you wish and build your own statement history for printing anytime.

  1. E-Statements are created in PDF format, which is the standard format of files exchanged via emails or uploaded on the Internet. This format does not allow content to be edited and re-produced.
  2. Customer-sensitive information like credit card number, name and postal address are masked on the E-Statements.
  3. Citibank E-Statements do not have any links that require you to enter and confirm your confidential information like account or credit card number, PIN, password, passport number etc.

This service is complimentary for now. You will be notified in advance if there are any changes.

E-Statements can only be sent to one email address.

Once you subscribe for E-Statements you will stop receiving paper statements.

Listed below are a few possible technical issues that you might encounter and a solution for each:

Junk Email Folder:

If you use a web-based e-mail service like Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc., there could be a possibility that your E-Statements are landing in your Spam or Junk e-mail folder. To get your Citibank E-Statements in your Inbox, please add the e-mail address from where your E-Statements are sent to your Safe List or to your address book.

If internet connection is disabled in your computer and you use outlook 2000 version to access your e-mail, please note that it might take 2-3 minutes for your E-Statement attachment to appear when you open the e-mail.

Mailbox Full:

Another reason could be that you have exceeded your mailbox capacity due to which your e-mails are being returned undelivered to us with a "Mailbox full" or "Mailbox size exceeded" message. You will need to periodically delete unwanted e-mails to ensure you receive your new e-mails.

In certain cases where customers provide us with their company e-mail addresses, due to server settings or e-mail systems used there are restrictions on PDF attachments due to which the attachments are automatically deleted or do not appear. You could either check with your company's technology team or provide us with a personal e-mail address for receiving E-Statements. You can also contact our 24-Hour CitiPhone Banking Service on +971 4 311 4000 and request for your E-Statement to be resent.

  1. To open and view your E-Statement you will require the Adobe Acrobat Reader software (version 6.0 or above) installed on your computer. You can download this software for free from the Adobe website
  2. If you already have the software, please check if the software is corrupted or not working properly by opening up any other PDF files. You can download and re-install Adobe Acrobat Reader.

There are no passwords required to open your E-Statement.

If you are using your company email address to receive your E-Statements, you could be asked for a password.

This could be because of the security settings set by your company on the email servers.

Please either check this with your company's technology team or provide us with a personal email address for sending your E-Statements.
