How to add a Citi Credit Card to Apple Pay?
Adding your Citi Mastercard Credit card to Apple Pay is simple. Just follow one of the following methods. Do not forget to set Citi as your default card on Apple Pay.
Adding a card via Wallet App
- On iPhone, open the Wallet App, tap the '+' sign and follow instructions.
- For Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and select "Wallet & Apple Pay," then tap "Add Credit or Debit Card."
- On iPad, go to Settings, open "Wallet & Apple Pay," and select "Add Credit or Debit Card."
- On Macbook Pro with Touch id, go to system preferences, select "Wallet & Apple Pay," and then 'Add Card'.
Adding a card via Citi Mobile app
- Open the Citi Mobile app on your iPhone and sign on.
- Tap on the profile icon in the upper left-hand corner to go to 'Settings'.
- Select the card you want to add.
- If the card is eligible, you will see a "Add to Apple Pay." button
- Tap on it & follow instructions.
You can also add your new card while activating it through the mobile app. Once activation is complete you will see a "Add to Apple Pay" button.
Set Citi as your default card on Apple Pay
- Open Wallet.
- Touch and hold your Citi Mastercard Credit Card then drag it to the front of your cards.
- Your Citi Credit Card is now default card on Apple Pay.
You can also go to your device Settings & choose Citi as your default card.
Note: A single card can be added to a maximum of 4 devices.

Paying in apps and websites
Apple Pay is the easier, faster way to pay in apps and on the web because you no longer have to create an account or fill out lengthy forms.*
To pay in apps and on websites in Safari on your iPhone and iPad, select Apple Pay at checkout and complete the payment using Face ID or Touch ID.
To pay on websites in Safari on your Mac, select Apple Pay and complete the payment using your iPhone or Apple Watch. On MacBook Pro, pay using Touch ID on the Touch Bar.

Apple Pay is an easy, secure and fast mobile contactless payment solution that enables customers to make purchases using eligible Apple devices at Near Field Communication (NFC) compatible Point of Sale (POS) terminals in stores, in apps, and on the web. Apple Pay can be used everywhere contactless payments are accepted.
Apple Pay can be used wherever you see one of the following symbols:
- In Stores: with your iPhone and Apple watch.
- In App: with your iPhone and iPad.
- Online: with your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Apple Pay works on most Apple devices:-
iPhone (In store, within apps , on the web with Safari browser).
- iPhone models with Face ID.
- iPhone models with Touch ID, except for iPhone 5s.
iPad (within apps and on the web in Safari browser)
- iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad, and iPad mini models with Touch ID or Face ID.
Apple Watch (In store and within apps)
- Apple Watch Series 1 and 2 and later.
- Apple Watch (1st generation).
Mac (On the web in Safari browser)
- Mac models with Touch ID.
- Mac models introduced in 2012 or later with an Apple Pay-enabled iPhone or Apple Watch.

All Citi Mastercard Credit Cards issued by Citi UAE to consumers are eligible for Apple Pay.
Please reach out to the Citiphone team at +971 4 311 4000 to have Citi Visa Credit Card converted to a Citi Mastercard variant. You can then add the new Citi Mastercard Credit Card to Apple Pay.
